 After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, serving in the Army Corps of Engineers and becoming a registered architect, Don gained experience in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential design. Recognizing his talents and interests were in residential design, he founded Donald A. Gardner Architects, Inc., in 1978. Now known as the nation’s leading residential architect with over 100,000 housing units built nationwide and in 18 vastly different countries, Don has revolutionized the pre-designed house plan industry by offering beautiful, family-efficient home plans that accommodate busy lifestyles and changing needs. As CEO and Chairman, Don has led his firm in achieving countless awards, while appearing in numerous national publications. Aside from being an expert speaker on a variety of housing topics, Don has grown his architectural company into a full-service firm and additionally established several successful companies, including a multi-state design/build firm.
